The Swedish Federation received a commendation from WSKO during the Taikai/Koshukai in Bali for its work for the last fifteen years. The commendation was handed out by the WSKO President So Yuuki and was received on behalf of the Federation by Anders Pettersson, president of the Swedish Federation.
The first Swedish Shorinji Kempo branch was officially established in 1970. On the 6th of November 1993 a meeting was held where it was decided to establsih a Swedish Shorinji Kempo Federation. The Swedish Federation was registered as a member of World Shorinji Kempo Organization on the 19th of July 1994. The Federatio now received a commendation of its continous work within WSKO over the last fifteen years.
